Simply Shakera is an established Influencer, Speaker, Content Creator, Movement Coach & Lifestyle Brand and the Founder and Executive Director of the award-winning fitness and entertainment company Carnival Spice®.

Simply Shakera’s Mission is:
To use her voice to support, motivate, and educate women and girls like her to see possibilities within themselves through her lived experience, speaking engagements, and the positive lifestyle content she creates

We are currently seeking a Social Media & Administration Intern (Part-time, Permanent)

This role will:

  • Work directly with and receive mentorship from our Director, Shakera Martin 

  • Support both Simply Shakera and Carnival Spice campaigns and projects

  • Create an help to execute a Social Media Strategy (must be familiar and fluent with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter & Canva)

  • Provide general administrative support including communications and marketing (experience with Mailchimp, Eventbrite, and Microsoft Excel is an asset)

  • Provide general miscellaneous hands-on support as needed for special events, inventory etc.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who:

  • Is creative, innovative and tech savvy

  • Has a combination of flexible daytime availability during the week + some evenings and weekends as needed

  • Black & Caribbean Women who have an interest in Content Creation, Influencing, the Arts, and Entrepreneurship are encouraged to apply

  • Must live in Toronto, Ontario (Canada)

  • A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is an asset but not required
